On the third Sunday of each month the children of the church take a “Noisy Can Offering” (large #10 cans are used to receive loose change from the congregation, and the kids shake them as they go to make some noise). Kids use the money collected to fund mission work (typically a monthly kids' shopping trip to the grocery store to purchase items for the Church and Community Program’s food pantry). More than just a raucous time, the Noisy Can Offering helps to instill an awareness of needs in the community, empowers kids to help meet those needs as part of the broader mission of the church, and instills a deeper sense of gratitude for the many blessings we all enjoy.
